About Maria

I like to say my life is an organized circus… different each day :) Some days I’m modeling, others I’m hosting on camera, other days I’m coaching… and some I do all three! Living life day-by-day with a light hearted and optimistic attitude makes being on the go constantly my comfort zone! Although my heart is happiest when traveling, I love time with my family in Kentucky. But I’ll always love a metropolis skyline born from my time living in other cities for modeling for years. This circus of a life all started from when I decided to enter my first pageant, which I always saw as a door to the entertainment industry…

I started modeling back in high school, and knew pageants could propel my end goal - a modeling career. After being first runner up repeatedly for years in local pageants, I finally switched my focus to be on connecting with judges rather than aiming to just be perfect. Winning Miss Kentucky County Fair among 93 outstanding girls,  helped me take pageantry more seriously.  Next up was capturing Miss Kentucky Festivals in November, then Miss Kentucky USA in December which lead me to competing in Vegas for 2.5 weeks and placing as a runner up to Miss USA (owned by NBC and Donald Trump at the time). After that, God opened more doors, like only He can! He guided me to getting signed by FORD models - my dream since I was a little girl! Once that contract was signed, modeling become a full time job as I signed with numerous other agencies across the country from LA, Miami, Seattle, Atlanta, and many more more - all of which I still work with today. These contracts brought me to live in Chicago and Miami off and on for several years, and travel weekly through the country for shoots. My resume was built as I shot for companies like Pantene, Olay,  Bridal designers, Jockey, Nike, JCP, Kohls, Martini ads, Marchesa, skincare companies, Remington curling iron boxes, and more. Here lately, I’ve even been able to take my husband with me to model for clients like Royal Caribbean internationally! After several years of bouncing around living places for months at a time, I decided I wanted to be home in the Bluegrass more and travel to wherever as needed during the week. And I LOVE this lifestyle!

As years went on, my agents started to book me as the lead role in music videos by Tim McGraw, Matt Stell, and even to be a trophy Model on stage of the CMAs. I started hosting how-to videos for companies like Garnier Fructis, Pantene, Olay, Black and Decker, and more. These jobs allowed me to fall in love with Live and Pre-recorded TV shoots and to improve my on-camera skills. Now half of my work is modeling, half is hosting video content... including one of my favorite live jobs, the on-court host for University of Kentucky Men’s Basketball games.... Go cats!
